BAFFASA is a movement a program aimed at empowering and at the same time serving the most poor and marginalized communities in SOUTH AFRICA.
The two groups are or can be divided into two “Black African” groups that is
Black Africans living in the informal settlements
Black Africans living in the townships
The movement is a non profit making organization consisting on its management the Black owners of the fire fighting companies then the general fire technicians working at different fire companies across S.A and then the general black communities, the three groups are and will be equally treated within the organization.
Help the poor people in the informal settlements with fires that kills them and destroy their belongings on daily basis
Train and facilitate workshops on how to stop the spread of these fires while waiting for emergency services
The proper handling and use of fire equipment
Introduction of fire fighting workshops in the township schools
Encourage “Team work” in fighting poverty using the skills of fire fighting
Negotiate better rates with accreditation boards for the black owned companies
Making sure all the government contracts, Tenders ect are awarded to the black fire companies and not to everyone as this require specialized accreditation as according to the government BBBEE standards
The organization consists the top three members namely
The chairman/President
The secretary general
The treasure
The above three are the backbone of the organization as they are expected to carry their respective duties with pride , respect and dignity please see our constitutions for names and contact information
The main task of the three members is to make sure the movement grows even outside the SA borders and not derail from its main aims and objectives.
